Transitioning from Classic
Authorize.net
to New
Authorize.net

The transition from classic
Authorize.net
to the new
Authorize.net
provides a cleaner user interface resulting in an improved customer experience. This transition is accomplished almost seamlessly, without changes to the
Authorize.net
API and required only a minor change to the user interface. This interface change occurs with the creation of customer profiles.
In the new
Authorize.net
, when creating a customer profile, you must provide a name and an email address. If the customer profile is for a person, a first and last name is required; if the profile is for a business, the company name is required. Note that the name and email requirement is only for new customer profiles. Legacy customer profiles from classic
Authorize.net
do not require a name and email address. You do not have to make any changes to existing customer profiles.
