Amount Filter

The Amount Filter enables you to set lower and upper limit transaction amount thresholds. All transactions received with an amount less than your lower limit or greater than your upper limit is filtered and handled according to the filter action you select.
Multiple transactions that are part of the same order do not trigger this filter.
Consider the following details when configuring this filter:
  • If you select
    Authorize and hold for review
as the filter action, you should approve or void held transactions within 72 hours.
  • Carefully consider the amounts you set for the lower limit and upper limit. The lower limit must allow for $0 authorizations. When setting the upper limit, keep in mind the highest possible combination of multiple items purchased. You might want to search your transaction history for the highest transaction amounts you have processed in the past to determine an appropriate upper limit.
  • Consider updating your lower limit and upper limit each time you add new merchandise or services.
  • When a transaction triggers more than one filter, and each filter is configured with a different action, the most severe filter action is applied to the transaction. For example, suppose that you configure filter A to decline all triggered transactions, and you configure filter B to authorize but hold all triggered transactions. If a transaction triggers both filters A and B, it is declined rather than authorized and held for review.
