AFDS Filter Actions
The following actions are supported in most AFDS filters:
- Process transaction and report triggered filters
- Allows the transaction to process as usual, but includes the transaction in the filter's transaction review report.
- Authorize and hold for review
- Allows the transaction to be authorized by the card issuing bank, but holds the transaction until reviewed and permitted to be captured for settlement.
- Do not authorize, but hold for review
- Holds the transaction until reviewed without taking further action until permitted to be authorized and captured for settlement.
- Decline the transaction
- Sends back a decline message for the transaction.
IMPORTANT
If a transaction triggers more than one filter, and if each triggered
filter uses a different action, the most severe filter is applied to the transaction.
For example, suppose that you are using the Daily Velocity Filter and it is set to
authorize and hold the transaction for review, and you are also using the Suspicious
Transaction Filter and it is set to decline the transaction. If a transaction in this
scenario triggers both the Daily Velocity Filter and the Suspicious Transaction Filter,
the transaction is declined.
